VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Western Digital MyCloud NAS version 2.11.142
Description The issue concerns an unauthenticated remote command injection that can be executed as root. This occurs due to a vulnerability in the index.php page of the Western Digital MyCloud NAS, which can be exploited via a modified Cookie header. The vulnerability is related to inadequate data sanitization at the management level, allowing a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands using a specially crafted Cookie header.
Recommendations For Western Digital MyCloud NAS version 2.11.142, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the index.php page until a patch is available. Avoid using the Cookie header in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
