Description
The issue is related to the Linux kernel's handling of DMA mappings on ARM platforms. It does not prevent executable DMA mappings, which could allow local users to gain privileges via a crafted application. This affects Android devices, specifically Nexus 5 and 7 (2013) devices, before 2016-08-05.
Recommendations
For Linux kernel versions prior to 3.13, update to version 3.13 or later to resolve the issue.
