Description
The issue is related to a heap-based buffer overflow in the
opj j2k update image data function, which can be triggered by a crafted JPEG 2000 image. This can cause a denial of service due to an out-of-bounds read and application crash.Recommendations
For OpenJpeg version 2016.1.18, consider updating to a newer version that addresses this issue, as using a crafted JPEG 2000 image can cause the application to crash. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
