Description
The issue is related to the msm ipc router bind control port function in the IPC router kernel module, which does not properly verify if a port is a client port. This allows attackers to potentially gain privileges or cause a denial of service by exploiting a race condition and list corruption through multiple BIND CONTROL PORT ioctl calls.
Recommendations
For Linux kernel version 3.x, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
