Description The issue is related to a heap-based buffer overflow in the ClearKey Content Decryption Module (CDM) within the Encrypted Media Extensions (EME) API. This could potentially allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by providing a malformed video, leveraging a Gecko Media Plugin (GMP) sandbox bypass.
Recommendations For Mozilla Firefox versions prior to 48.0, update to version 48.0 or later. For Mozilla Firefox ESR 45.x versions prior to 45.3, update to version 45.3 or later.
