CVE-2016-5005

CVSS v3.1

4.8

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Apache Archiva versions 1.3.9 and earlier Apache Archiva versions prior to 2.2.1
Description A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue allows remote authenticated administrators to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the connector.sourceRepoId parameter to the "admin/addProxyConnector commit.action" API endpoint.
Recommendations For Apache Archiva versions 1.3.9 and earlier, update to version 2.2.1 or later. For Apache Archiva versions prior to 2.2.1, update to version 2.2.1 or later. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the admin/addProxyConnector commit.action API endpoint and avoiding use of the connector.sourceRepoId parameter until a patch is available.
