CVE-2016-5170

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 53.0.2785.113 Opera (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the improper consideration of getter side effects during array key conversion in the WebKit/Source/bindings/modules/v8/V8BindingForModules.cpp file in Blink. This allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (use-after-free) or possibly have unspecified other impact via crafted Indexed Database (aka IndexedDB) API calls.
Recommendations For Google Chrome versions prior to 53.0.2785.113, update to version 53.0.2785.113 or later. For Opera, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
