Description
The issue affects the confidentiality of data and is related to the Server: Connection component. It can be exploited by a high-privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols, potentially leading to a denial-of-service (DOS) condition where the MySQL Server hangs or crashes repeatedly.
Recommendations
For Oracle MySQL versions 5.5.48 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.5.48.
For Oracle MySQL versions 5.6.29 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.6.29.
For Oracle MySQL versions 5.7.11 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.7.11.
For MariaDB versions prior to 5.5.49, update to version 5.5.49 or later.
