Description
A vulnerability in the FTP Representational State Transfer Application Programming Interface (REST API) could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass FTP malware detection rules and download malware over an FTP connection. This issue affects devices with a file policy that has malware block configured for FTP connections.
Recommendations
For versions 5.4.0.2 through 6.2.0, update to a fixed release to resolve the issue.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability, however, version 6.0.0 is mentioned as both affected and fixed, which may indicate that the fix is included in a later patch or hotfix for version 6.0.0.
