Description
The issue is related to a NULL pointer access in the
imagetopnm function of convert.c(jp2) at line 1289. This can lead to a Denial of Service. The exploitation requires someone to open a crafted j2k file.Recommendations
For OpenJPEG version 2.1.2, consider avoiding the use of the
imagetopnm function until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the opening of j2k files to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
