| Vector | AV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android Kernel versions 3.10 through 3.18
Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Qualcomm Wi-Fi driver of the Android operating system kernel. It allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code through a malicious application. This is an elevation of privilege issue that could enable a local malicious application to execute arbitrary code within the context of the kernel, but it first requires compromising a privileged process.
Recommendations
For Android Kernel versions 3.10 through 3.18, consider restricting access to the Qualcomm Wi-Fi driver as a temporary workaround until a patch is available.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
