| Vector | AV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android Kernel-3.10
Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Qualcomm sound driver of the Android operating system kernel. It allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code through a malicious application. This is considered a high-severity issue because it requires compromising a privileged process first.
Recommendations
For Kernel-3.10, consider restricting access to the Qualcomm sound driver functions until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, avoid installing untrusted applications to minimize the risk of exploitation.
