Description
An elevation of privilege issue in Wi-Fi could allow a local malicious application to execute arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process. This issue is rated as Moderate because it first requires compromising a privileged process. The vulnerability is related to insufficient access control in the Wi-Fi component of the Android operating system, which could potentially allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For versions 5.0.2, 5.1.1, 6.0, 6.0.1, and 6.0 through 7.0, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue, as specified by the Android security updates.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
