CVE-2016-9807

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions GStreamer versions prior to 1.10.2
Description The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in an invalid memory read and crash, by providing a crafted FLIC file. This is due to a problem in the flx decode chunks function.
Recommendations For versions prior to 1.10.2, update to version 1.10.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of crafted FLIC files until the update is applied.
