Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Telephony service of the Android operating system. It may allow a remote attacker to cause a device to hang or reboot. A local malicious application could also use a specially crafted file to cause a device hang or reboot, potentially leading to a local permanent denial of service.
Recommendations
For versions 4.4.4, 5.0.2, 5.1.1, 6.0, 6.0.1, and 7.0, update to a newer version that includes the fix for this issue.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
