Critical
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android versions prior to the fixed version
Description
The issue is related to a possible buffer overflow in the trust zone access control API due to the lack of buffer size checking. This may allow a remote attacker to cause a buffer overflow.
Recommendations
For Android versions prior to the fixed version, consider restricting access to the trust zone access control API until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, disabling the vulnerable API endpoint may help minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
