Description
The issue allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Java SE and Java SE Embedded. Successful attacks can result in the takeover of Java SE and Java SE Embedded. This can be exploited by supplying data to APIs in the specified component without using untrusted Java Web Start applications or untrusted Java applets, such as through a web service.
Recommendations
For Java SE versions 6u151, 7u141, and 8u131, update to a version that is not affected by this issue.
For Java SE Embedded version 8u131, update to a version that is not affected by this issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the RMI component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Avoid using the affected APIs in the specified component until the issue is resolved.
