| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Flash Player versions 24.0.0.186 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to an exploitable use after free vulnerability in the ActionScript FileReference class when using class inheritance. This vulnerability could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. The vulnerability is associated with the use of memory after it has been freed in the FileReference class of the ActionScript, which can be exploited to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For Adobe Flash Player versions 24.0.0.186 and earlier, update to a version later than 24.0.0.186 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the use of class inheritance in the ActionScript FileReference class until a patch is available. Restrict access to the FileReference class to minimize the risk of exploitation.
