Description The issue allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of accessible data. Additionally, attacks can cause a partial denial of service of Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service.

Recommendations For versions 6.0.x through 7.1.x, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue. For version 15.0.x, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue. For version 16.0.0, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Point of Sale component until a patch is available.
