Description The issue allows a high privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise the MySQL Server. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of the MySQL Server's accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service of the MySQL Server. Additionally, attacks can cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash, leading to a complete denial of service of the MySQL Server.
Recommendations For versions 5.7.18 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.7.18 to resolve the issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
