Description The issue affects the Oracle Knowledge Management component, specifically the Search subcomponent. It allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Knowledge Management, requiring human interaction from a person other than the attacker. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized access to critical data, complete access to all Oracle Knowledge Management accessible data, as well as unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of Oracle Knowledge Management accessible data.

Recommendations For versions 12.1.1 through 12.1.3, update to a version that is not affected by this issue. For versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.7, update to a version that is not affected by this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Search subcomponent of Oracle Knowledge Management until a patch is available.
