Description The issue is related to a use-after-free vulnerability in the XFA engine, specifically tied to sub-form functionality. This vulnerability could allow for arbitrary code execution if successfully exploited. The vulnerability is also related to the XFA engine in Adobe Reader and Acrobat, allowing a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code related to embedded form functionality.
Recommendations For Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 15.020.20042 and earlier, update to a version later than 15.020.20042 to resolve the issue. For Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 15.006.30244 and earlier, update to a version later than 15.006.30244 to resolve the issue. For Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 11.0.18 and earlier, update to a version later than 11.0.18 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the XFA engine functionality related to sub-forms until a patch is available.
