Description
The issue affects the HDMI video driver, specifically in the
hdmi edid sysfs rda res info() function, allowing userspace to perform an arbitrary write into kernel memory.Recommendations
For Android for MSM, consider restricting access to the
hdmi edid sysfs rda res info() function until a patch is available.
For Firefox OS for MSM, avoid using the vulnerable HDMI video driver function until the issue is resolved.
For QRD Android, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the HDMI video driver until a fix is provided.
