Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the MT6573FDVT SetRegHW function of the camera fdvt.c driver for the MediaTek application in the Android operating system. This can be exploited by a remote attacker using a specially crafted application to elevate privileges. Additionally, the MT6573FDVT SetRegHW function in the MediaTek driver for Linux allows local users to gain privileges via a crafted application that makes an MT6573FDVTIOC T SET FDCONF CMD IOCTL call.
