CVE-2017-11714

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Artifex Ghostscript version 9.21
Description The issue is related to the mishandling of references to the scanner state structure in psi/ztoken.c, which can be exploited by remote attackers through a crafted PostScript document. This can cause a denial of service, resulting in an application crash, or possibly have other unspecified impacts. The problem is also associated with an out-of-bounds read in the igc reloc struct ptr function in psi/igc.c.
Recommendations For Artifex Ghostscript version 9.21, consider updating to a newer version that addresses this issue, as the current version is affected by the mishandling of scanner state structure references and the out-of-bounds read in the igc reloc struct ptr function. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
