Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Ming version 0.4.8
Description
A heap-based buffer overflow issue was found in the
dcputs function, which is called from decompileIMPLEMENTS in util/decompile.c. This allows attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted file.Recommendations
For Ming version 0.4.8, consider restricting access to the
dcputs function until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the decompileIMPLEMENTS function to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.Fix
