Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Ming version 0.4.8
Description
A null pointer dereference issue was found in the
stackswap function, which is called from decompileSTACKSWAP in util/decompile.c. This issue allows attackers to cause a denial of service by providing a crafted file.Recommendations
For Ming version 0.4.8, consider avoiding the use of the
stackswap function until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the processing of crafted files to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.Fix
