Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Microsoft Outlook 2016
Description
The issue allows an attacker to obtain the email content of a user due to how Microsoft Outlook discloses user email content. This occurs because Microsoft Outlook fails to establish a secure connection, enabling an attacker to exploit the vulnerability and access a user's email content.
Recommendations
For Microsoft Outlook 2016, consider configuring the application to prioritize secure connections to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to sensitive email content until a secure connection can be established. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
