Description
The issue is related to an elevation of privilege vulnerability in Telephony, which could allow a local malicious application to access system functions beyond its access level. This is due to insufficient access control in the Android operating system's telephony component. The problem is rated as Moderate because it is a local bypass of restrictions on a constrained process.
Recommendations
For Android versions 6.0 through 7.0, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue, as specified by the Android ID A-31566390.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
