Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Cisco RF Gateway 1 devices (affected versions not specified)
Description
A processing error in the TCP state machine could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition by preventing the delivery of switched digital video (SDV) or video on demand (VoD) streams. This can be achieved by establishing a large number of TCP connections to the device without closing them, thereby exploiting the error. The result is the device's inability to deliver SDV or VoD streams to set-top boxes.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
