Description The issue is related to the failure to validate the integrity of SDBM database files used by apr sdbm*() functions, which can result in a possible out of bound read access. A local user with write access to the database can make a program or process using these functions crash, causing a denial of service.
Recommendations For Apache Portable Runtime Utility (APR-util) versions 1.6.0 and prior, consider updating to a version that addresses this issue, as no specific workaround is provided for these versions. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
