Epson EasyMP software (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue concerns the Epson EasyMP software, which allows remote streaming of a user's computer to supporting projectors. These devices are authenticated using a unique 4-digit code displayed on-screen. However, each projector also has a hardcoded "backdoor" code,
2270, which can authenticate to all devices, potentially bypassing the intended security mechanism.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
