Description
The issue is related to a NULL Pointer Dereference in the
id3v2AddAudioDuration function, located in libmp3lame/id3tag.c. This allows attackers to trigger a Denial of Service by passing a NULL value as the first argument to the function.Recommendations
For LAME version 3.99.5, consider applying a patch or fix that checks for NULL pointers before calling the
id3v2AddAudioDuration function to prevent Denial of Service attacks. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.DoS
