A heap-based buffer overflow issue exists, causing an out-of-bounds write of more than two thousand bytes. This is triggered in the
resolveSubtable() function within compileTranslationTable.c, potentially leading to denial of service or remote code execution.Recommendations
For Liblouis version 3.2.0, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
resolveSubtable() function until a patch is available.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.RCE
