Description
The issue concerns the D-Link NPAPI extension, which fails to verify X.509 certificates from SSL servers. This allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof servers and obtain sensitive information via a crafted certificate.
Recommendations
For D-Link DIR-850L REV. A versions through FW114WWb07 h2ab beta1, update the firmware to a version that verifies X.509 certificates from SSL servers.
For D-Link DIR-850L REV. B versions through FW208WWb02, update the firmware to a version that verifies X.509 certificates from SSL servers.
