CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions iOS versions prior to 10.1 macOS versions prior to 10.12.1
Description The issue involves the FaceTime component and allows remote attackers to trigger memory corruption. This can lead to obtaining audio data from a call that appeared to have ended. The vulnerability is related to a lack of protection for service data, which can allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service or have other impacts on the system.
Recommendations For iOS versions prior to 10.1, update to version 10.1 or later. For macOS versions prior to 10.12.1, update to version 10.12.1 or later. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the FaceTime component until a patch is available.
