CVE-2017-15051

CVSS v3.1

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions TeamPass versions prior to 2.1.27.9
Description The issue allows authenticated remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML. This can be achieved via the URL value of an item or user log history. To exploit, the attacker must first be authenticated to the application. The attacker can inject XSS code within the URL field of a shared item. Alternatively, the attacker can prepare a payload within their profile and then ask an administrator to modify it, allowing for XSS when the administrator accesses the log.
Recommendations For versions prior to 2.1.27.9, update to version 2.1.27.9 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the URL field of shared items and limiting modifications to user profiles to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the application's user log history feature until the issue is resolved.
