Description
The issue exists due to insufficient input validation in the Audioserver component of the Android operating system. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service, resulting in device hang or reboot. The estimated impact of this issue is considered low due to the possibility of only a temporary denial of service.
Recommendations
For Android versions 5.1.1, 6.0, 6.0.1, 7.0, 7.1.1, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
