CVSS v3.1

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Foxit Reader version 8.3.1.21155
Description This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the alignment attribute of Field objects due to the lack of validating the existence of an object prior to performing operations on it. An attacker can leverage this to execute code under the context of the current process.
Recommendations For Foxit Reader version 8.3.1.21155, consider disabling the Field objects or restricting access to them until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid opening malicious files or visiting suspicious pages with Foxit Reader. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
