VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Foxit Reader version 8.3.2.25013
Description This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the picture elements of XFA forms due to the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, resulting in a type confusion condition. This can be leveraged to execute code under the context of the current process.
Recommendations For Foxit Reader version 8.3.2.25013, consider disabling the use of XFA forms until a patch is available to prevent exploitation of the type confusion condition in picture elements. Restrict access to malicious pages and files to minimize the risk of remote code execution.
