Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions FFmpeg libswresample versions prior to 3.0.102 FFmpeg versions prior to 3.4.2 aubio versions prior to 0.4.7
Description The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a NULL pointer dereference and application crash, via a crafted audio file. This is due to a problem in the swri audio convert function in audioconvert.c.
Recommendations For FFmpeg libswresample versions prior to 3.0.102, update to version 3.0.102 or later to resolve the issue. For FFmpeg versions prior to 3.4.2, update to version 3.4.2 or later to resolve the issue. For aubio versions prior to 0.4.7, update to version 0.4.7 or later to resolve the issue.
