Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Flash Player versions 24.0.0.221 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow/underflow vulnerability in the Primetime TVSDK component of Adobe Flash Player, which supports customizing ad information. This vulnerability could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. The vulnerability is caused by a buffer boundary violation.
Recommendations
For Adobe Flash Player versions 24.0.0.221 and earlier, update to a version later than 24.0.0.221 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the Primetime TVSDK component until a patch is available. Restrict access to the Primetime TVSDK to minimize the risk of exploitation.
