Description
An integer overflow issue exists in the X509 certificate parsing functionality. A specially crafted X509 certificate can cause a length counter to overflow, leading to a controlled out of bounds copy operation. This can be triggered by presenting a specially crafted X509 certificate to the vulnerable client or server application when initiating a secure connection.
Recommendations
For InsideSecure MatrixSSL version 3.8.7b, update to a newer version that contains a fix for this issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
