Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Foscam C1 Indoor HD cameras version 2.52.2.37
Description
A specially crafted HTTP request to the web management interface can allow a user to inject arbitrary data in the
msmtprc configuration file, resulting in command execution. An attacker can trigger this issue by sending an HTTP request to the device.Recommendations
For version 2.52.2.37, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the web management interface until a patch is available. Avoid using the vulnerable configuration file
msmtprc in the affected device until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.OS Command Injection
