Description The issue affects the MySQL Server component, specifically the X Plugin subcomponent. It allows an attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise the MySQL Server. Successful attacks can result in the unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of the MySQL Server, leading to a denial of service.
Recommendations For versions 5.7.18 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.7.18 to resolve the issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
