CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions libmp3splt version 0.9.2
Description The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a crash due to a NULL pointer dereference. This is achieved by exploiting the splt cue export to file function in cue.c via a crafted file.
Recommendations For libmp3splt version 0.9.2, consider avoiding the use of the splt cue export to file function until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the processing of crafted files to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
