Description The issue involves the Audio component and allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) via a crafted audio file. This is caused by a buffer overflow in memory, which can be exploited by a remote attacker using a specially crafted audio file.
Recommendations For iOS versions prior to 10.3, update to version 10.3 or later to resolve the issue. For macOS versions prior to 10.12.4, update to version 10.12.4 or later to resolve the issue. For tvOS versions prior to 10.2, update to version 10.2 or later to resolve the issue. For watchOS versions prior to 3.2, update to version 3.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of the Audio component until a patch is available.
