Description
The issue is related to the CoreText component in certain Apple products, where a buffer overflow in memory occurs. This can be exploited by a remote attacker using a specially crafted font file, potentially allowing them to obtain sensitive information or cause a denial of service, such as an out-of-bounds read or application crash.
Recommendations
For iOS versions prior to 10.3, update to version 10.3 or later.
For macOS versions prior to 10.12.4, update to version 10.12.4 or later.
For tvOS versions prior to 10.2, update to version 10.2 or later.
For watchOS versions prior to 3.2, update to version 3.2 or later.
