CVE-2017-6505

CVSS v3.1

6.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions QEMU versions prior to 2.9.0
Description The issue allows local guest OS users to cause a denial of service, resulting in an infinite loop. This is achieved through vectors involving the number of link endpoint list descriptors in the ohci service ed list function.
Recommendations For versions prior to 2.9.0, update to version 2.9.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ohci service ed list function in hw/usb/hcd-ohci.c to minimize the risk of exploitation.
