CVE-2017-2475

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions iOS versions prior to 10.3 Safari versions prior to 10.1 tvOS versions prior to 10.2
Description The issue involves the WebKit component and allows remote attackers to conduct Universal XSS (UXSS) attacks via crafted use of frames on a web site. This is due to a lack of protection for the web page structure, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to conduct UXSS attacks using web site structures.
Recommendations For iOS versions prior to 10.3, update to version 10.3 or later to resolve the issue. For Safari versions prior to 10.1, update to version 10.1 or later to resolve the issue. For tvOS versions prior to 10.2, update to version 10.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the WebKit component until a patch is available.
